Junior High is a pivotal time in every adolescent’s life; the friends they make now will be the friends that will influence the formative years of their adult life. Our goal is to teach them that true, lasting friendships are friendships made in Christ.

The Diocese of Fargo has implemented new standards for religious education and has chosen a curriculum based on these standards.  All parishes of the Diocese will be using Our Sunday Visitor's "Alive in Christ" series as the primary text for all grades K-8.  In addition, we will be supplementing the elementary texts with Emily Cavin's "the Great Adventure Storybook" and 7th and 8th grades with "Theology of the Body" for middle school.

All ages of religious education and youth ministry at St Michael’s share the same vision and mission statements:

 Vision Statement:

"Inspired by the Holy Spirit, St. Michael's Youth Ministry is growing next-generation disciples who, knowing the love of Christ and the Word of God, will be visible witnesses of His love to their family, peers, and the world."

Mission Statement:

"The St. Michael's Religious Education Program exists to assist parents, as the primary educators of their children, in passing on the Catholic faith.  Each child will grow in their personal relationship with Christ as they learn about the fullness of the Catholic faith."
