Site Manager

Summer Lunch Program- Part Time Position

            The site manager is responsible for directing all operations associated with serving lunch at one designated location.  This includes helping with food preparation, transporting food and other materials to the site, working with and overseeing volunteers, serving the meal, enforcing program rules, and cleaning up.  Site supervisor must be able to lift coolers into and out of a vehicle, however, assistance will be available if needed.  Hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.  The site manager is in charge of his/her respective site and will be accountable to the program director.  He/she represents the face of St. Joseph’s Social Care and the Summer Lunch Program during work hours and is expected to act accordingly.   Pay is $10.00 per hour.

Kitchen Staff

 St. Joseph’s Social Care is also hiring for kitchen staff to work at the Holy Family Church kitchen during the Summer Lunch program, Mondays-Fridays from 9:00am-12:00pm, cooking and preparing meals and helping with clean up.  These positions are part-time and require being able to be flexible, lift up to 30 lbs and being able to be adaptable.  There is also an opportunity for kitchen staff to work as a Site Supervisor and have additional hours.  Pay is $10.00/hour.

 Program Director

Summer Lunch Program- Full Time Position

            The program director is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the Summer Lunch Program.  Office duties include contacting and scheduling volunteers, advertising the program to increase public awareness, scheduling speakers and activities, planning menus, buying food and ordering supplies, and maintaining proper documentation.  Other duties include directing and assisting with food preparation in the kitchen, transporting food and other materials to the site, working with and overseeing volunteers, serving the meal, enforcing program rules, and cleaning up.  He/she must be able to lift coolers into and out of a vehicle, however, assistance will be available if needed.  The program director will also be responsible for ensuring that all meals and preparation techniques meet USDA requirements, the site supervisors are managing their sites and tasks appropriately and reporting data accurately, and all clean up is done promptly and completely.  Hours will be 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday approximately 8 am to 5 pm with some flexibility.  The program director represents the face of St. Joseph’s Social Care for the Summer Lunch Program and is expected to act accordingly.
