Christmas Baskets

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,
which means "God is with us."
-Matthew 1:23

Every year St. Michael's takes the time to meet and help those in our parish who are in greater need (registered parishioners).  We distrubute food baskets and gifts of clothing to parishioners around Christmas time, when financial worries can be especially great.  Around Thanksgiving, a giving tree is set up in the church entrance with a number of tags asking for certain clothing items and sizes.  Any parishioner in need of a Christmas basket is urged to sign up and meet with the Parish Outreach Coordinator in order to receive the help needed.  Closer to the Christmas season, the food and gift baskets are available for pick up or delivery.  Volunteers are always welcomed to help organizing, donating, putting together and distributing the baskets!
